           Vintage Monogrammed Pink Damask

          Tablecloth and Matching Napkins

 Item Number M07505

Silky and elegant, cotton and rayon blends were considered "high end" by 1930's housewives.  Indeed, some of the most involved damask patterns I've seen were made from this famously easy to care for combination of fibers that was best known for it's resistance to wrinkles!  Some how, through the years it has become associated with "cheaper" linens... But in fact, some of the finest hand monogramming done in the first half of the 20th century was on this rich fabric.  If you are a doubter, skip the text and go straight to the photos...

If you know me, you know I adore pink...you have no idea how hard it was to give this set up for sale... The most delectable thick pink cotton/rayon blend damask with shimmery, silvery-pearl white rose garlands is only complete with an immaculately embroidered pearly white triple monogram, "TKD" on both ends.  The more conservatively monogrammed napkins bear only the surname initial, "K" but really, they need nothing else!  The professional hand monogramming is so fine you want to pet it (some of us pet shoes, some of us pet linens.  I confess, I pet both...) Suffice it to say, these are better in person!  There are no flaws to mention.  A joy to iron in record time with just a steamy Rowenta and no spritz needed, so if you hate "doing up" the linens, this blend is for you...Perfect condition, freshly laundered and rapidly pressed.  c.1930's - 40's  Tablecloth -- 62" X 108"  11 Napkins -- 21" square
